Embodied Practice for the Workplace

Whether you work for a large corporate or in a small business, workplace environments can greatly impact your mental health. Now that many people are working more from home there is not as much incidental moving happening during the day which is further impacting our sense of wellbeing.

If you are someone who spends a lot of time in front of a computer screen, it is easy to forget to move. You might have noticed that even routine incidental movement is not happening such as walking to the station, moving from one meeting to another or going out to get lunch. More than ever our workdays are work, work, work with very little play.

If you are feeling lethargic, unmotivated and anxious remember that moving boosts your immune system, lubricates your joints and strengthens your bones. It also shifts your mood and positively changes your state which brings balance and health to your life. Nutritious eating is a thing, so is nutritious moving. It’s the perfect pick-me-up for these days of increased screen-time and reduced incidental movement.

Here at Live Particle we offer an Embodied First Aid Course that is an antidote to lockdown lethargy and a salve for screen-tired eyes and desk-hunched backs & shoulders. The course is designed for people who work for long hours at a desk and although it is delivered as a live-virtual course we assure you the screen time is light. It’s not just movement that matters - it’s how you move that matters. Nourishment lies in the quality of your movement as well as the act of the moving itself. Moving with embodied mindfulness invites you to feel more, know more and self-regulate. When you work with us you will experience moving, sounding and sensing in just the right way for you.
