The Mindful Art Project - Video by Ashish Narwade

In 2022, we were invited by RMIT Gallery to activate their cultural collections through an innovative new interactive mindfulness project. In response we developed The Mindful Art Project and worked with five student collaborators across four months to select works, reflect on responses and explore embodied process and creative practice in relation to mental health. Out of this we co-curated an event for the public during The Big Anxiety hosted by RMIT University.

Participants were invited into playful happenings, imaginative possibilities, and silent exchanges with a range of carefully chosen artworks. Over three days in October, we encouraged them to connect with artworks in quiet, playful and creative ways to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
